My impression of looking at book related pages on Instagram is the preference for purchased books over library copies and physical copies over ebook and electronic audiobooks.
Digital rights for libraries is a mess, but that's not an issue individual users can address. I don't think any reading preferences are more virtuous than others, so folks should choose whatever format and source works best for them.

I work for a public library :) I think about 30 percent of the books I've read this year came from the library -- a lot from digital checkouts.
